At the Sogn Fjord Museum you can see the workshop of boatbuilder Svein Henjasand.
Svein Henjasand (1923–2000), from Eidet in Sogndal, was the last traditional boatbuilder in Sogn. He completed his final boat shortly before his death in the spring of 2000.
Here he has set up a “workshop” and begun the construction of a færing, enabling the museum to present the traditional method of boatbuilding. Most of the tools in this reconstructed workshop belonged to his father, Ola Henjasand.
