Jekt Exhibition

Stad Holvikejekta

In the jekt hall exhibition, you get an insight into how the jekt trade in Western Norway happened through organisation, construction and use. What is a jekt, and how did the Bergen trade work? There are also historical photographs of Holvikejekta and documentary illustrations by boat historian Bernhard Færøyvik.

There are ramps all around the exhibition hall that allow you to get up close to Holvikejekta, both from a bird's-eye and a frog's-eye perspective.

From the top floor you have a good view down into Holvikejekta.

The exhibition hall will let you examine the jekt up close, both on the ground floor and with a view from the mezzanine. Here illustrated by architect Ola Sendstad’s drawings.

The website will be updated with new photos and more information once the exhibition is done.
