Location

Nordfjord Museum of Cultural History is at Sandane in Gloppen municipality. Follow the signs from E39. You will find us in "Jølet", behind the cultural facilities of Trivselshagen and the local high school.

The museum is closed during winter.

  • Adults: 120 NOK
  • Children aged 0–17: 0 NOK
  • Students/Seniors: 90 NOK
  • Season Pass for MiSF: 390 NOK
  • Museumspass (2mnd season ticket): 220 NOK

The season pass is an offer to those who use or want to use the museum's ordinary offer several times throughout the year. The season pass does not give free admission to events with its own tickets and does not include free publications.

You must buy a ticket if you want to visit the museum during opening hours, also the open-air museum (Jølet).
Free *: Children under 18 years - school groups - follow for people with disabilities - tour guides / drivers - press card - members of NMF / ICOM.

* These must also be registered at the reception. School and kindergarten groups must agree with the museum in advance.

NB! All organized activities must be agreed in advance with the museum.

Café

In the exhibition and administration building you will find a small café with simple dining. By appointment, groups can order dining. The café has the same opening hours as the museum.

Gift shop

In our gift shop you can buy "historical" things, gifts and souvenirs, children's toys, postcards with motifs from the museum and posters by various artists from Nordfjord. We also have a rich selection of local history literature.

The museum shop is open to everyone, even without a ticket, and follows the museum's opening hours.

Parking

Parking can be found at Trivselshagen bath and sports / swimming hall.

The museum has its own parking spaces adapted for the disabled at the entrance to the open-air museum.

Accessibility

Our showrooms, café and museum shop in the administration building and Frislidlada are universally designed and adapted.

The open-air museum has gravel roads and lawn areas, and somewhat hilly terrain.
